| As the Capital Market
Jobs Ltd (“CMJ”) recruitment model is based on complete
candidate and graduate confidentiality, CMJ is committed to the
protection of all personal data on this web site. For the purposes
of this privacy statement, “candidates” refers to both
registered candidates currently employed within the industry and
graduates looking for the opportunity.
To comply with all the principals and obligations
of the Data Protection Act 1998 (“DPA”), CMJ, as data
controller for the purposes of this act, has incorporated the following
features into our site to ensure candidate data remains secure and
totally within their control.
- All registration/contact details are automatically omitted from
view and encrypted on our system for added security. Only the
candidate can disable these features on request when completing
their CMJ Profile.
- As our capital market specific Profile can accurately replicate
most skill descriptions within the industry, this allows precise
candidate matching to published client vacancies or searches in
complete anonymity. The term “client” is defined
as a member of staff working within a capital market institution
who has direct responsibility for recruitment.
- The only personal details available on the site would be those
submitted on the Profile and therefore chosen to be displayed
by a candidate to a prospective employer who has registered with
CMJ.
- The CV attached to the Profile can only be released on-line
by a candidate, either on request from a named registered
client or by CMJ staff conducting a search short list for a named
client.
- A candidate can use the Blocking facility within the Profile
set-up to ensure that up to five registered clients do not even
know that their Profile exists on our system. This facility is
retroactive but you may be asked to reconfirm if that company
changes name.
- We do not work or advertise for any other agencies or enable
advertisers access to the site so all personal details remain
within our system unless specifically released by the candidate.
- The uses of “cookies” are only used during the navigation
of our site and are not retained once logged out.
- The SMS mobile messaging facility to prompt candidates to respond
to a CV download request that has not been answered for two days
– can be disabled by the candidate at any time via the Registration
page.
- The client using the CMJ candidate/vacancy management facility
can only retain a downloaded CV for a specific vacancy for
hours before being “timed out”. Any copying or retention
of a candidate CV by a clients should be in accordance with the
DPA 1998 and as stipulated in our Client Terms and Conditions
available on-site.
- We ensure that the Profile remains valid within our system by
emailing a reminder to candidates at (a maximum of) six-monthly
intervals using the last email address given. If you do not respond
to either this email or a reminder, your Profile/CV will be removed
from our database.
- Candidates can delete their Profile/CV from our system at any
time by logging into the candidate Profile home page and clicking
“remove me”.
