allows our Candidates to search and receive vacancy details
direct from investment banks, fund managers or brokers as
soon as they are posted. With a skills spectrum spanning settlements
to exotic derivatives, our system covers all the major business
areas with Candidate controlled confidentiality.
Generally speaking, few Candidates have the
time to speculatively visit recruiter’s offices, fill
out forms and/or meet interviewers, who take their CV and
may never contact them again. Similarly, registering on-line
with a generalist job board with a search engine that neither
recognises nor understands your business can not only be a
waste of time, but also be very dangerous should they use
the “CV scattergun’ approach to recruitment.
Capital Market Jobs Ltd does not handle
vacancies for other agencies and should not be considered
as ‘just’ a specialised job board. Our Clients
will exclusively be end employers, who should they request
it, receive the more traditional search and selection services
from CMJ - albeit at very competitive rates.

the on-line CMJ-Profiler allows you to professionally replicate
your CV into a ‘common’ format to attract maximum
interest. The on-line tools we give our Clients to search

CMJ Profiler
Before requesting a password to enter
the system, you must build your Profiler, completing three
straightforward sections; contact details / current market
skills / education and then upload a current CV. In addition,
there is a (optional) 250-word free text section that may
be completed after registration.
The ready attachment of a CV is required to
ensure that when a named Client issues a request to see the
document, both parties may immediately move on to the next
stage of the recruitment process. The high level of Candidate
control over the document prior to authorising its release
is comprehensively covered within the Privacy information
button at the top of the page and the Anonymity Controls
explained below.
On registration, the information given by the
Candidate within the on-line Profile will be ‘live’
and therefore accessible by our Clients who may at any time
be putting together a short-list of such Profiles prior to
requesting any Candidate CVs. Although the ‘matching’
is automated, registered Candidates have the option to go
back into their Homepage and click the Auto Job Seeker which
displays all vacancies requiring similar skill-sets to their
own or widen the vacancy options and click Search Jobs.
The Search Job functionality allows Candidates
to put forward their Profile to a vacancy that may not have
had the required ‘match’ rate to appear high enough
up on a Client search or one that requires some lateral thinking.
Examples of this may be a dealer currently working/registered
in Fixed Income Trading applying for a similar role in Fund
Management or a Settlements person spending time on compliance
issues applying to a vacancy under Compliance. These facilities
allow Candidates to keep their Profile true to their current
skills and not try to adapt it to suit our on-line vacancies
– after all; a Client will expect a downloaded CV to
accurately reflect the skills on the Profile.
Anonymity Controls
- Encryption. When a Candidate registers all their
contact details (including the email address used to correspond
directly with Clients) are hidden by security encryption
unless they specifically request that they be shown.
- Blocking. During the registration process, Candidates
have the option of blocking several institutions from accessing
their Profile. These can be your current, previous employers,
or institutions you are already interviewing with. Please
note that your Profile can only be seen by Clients authorised
to access the system by us - and that should any of those
chosen institutions sign up at a later date, the “blocking”
is retroactive.
- Final CV Release. Through a pre-designated request
and responses radio button menu, any institution requesting
to see your CV on-line will advise who they are –
and only you can release it! Similarly, if CMJ are
acting for a Client on a search and have made up a short
list of Candidates to be presented to the Client, we guarantee
to seek the same authorisation before forwarding any CVs.

SMS Candidate Messaging
If upon an emailed request to release their
C.V. a Candidate does not respond within a couple of days,
if Candidate enabled, either the Client or CMJ may send an
SMS message stating that such a request has been emailed to
the Candidates designated address. To expedite the recruitment
process, we have set the registration ‘default’
to a yes, but only after 6 p.m. setting. Unless you
usually go into your email on a daily basis, we recommend
that you agree to such an alert by leaving this facility as
it is. The alternative choices are No or SMS anytime. |
